Every part of our current political, social, and economic systems, institutions, and policies are rooted in oppression. They require domination, theft, dishonesty, discrimination, and the harming of others as fuel to operate AND are designed to discourage, and even crush, any challenge.
Then there are those who understand that this is not only unethical and immoral, but that it is also unsustainable. The flaws that inherently exist when exclusion is the business model are increasingly being highlighted on a global scale.
What is needed is a community of folx:
- who are no longer willing to put new wine into old wine skins.
- who fundamentally understand that “we get there together or not at all.”
- who believe that our ONLY choices aren’t business vs social change and are forging a path towards business AS social change.
Join us on Juneteenth, , for the first annual Profit Without Oppression Conference where we will begin the process of defining a common, inclusive language and addressing some of the barriers that currently exist related to business models, legal/policy concerns, and funding opportunities.
